The Diag
INTRODUCTORY STUDIO | FALL 2017 The final project for LARCH 301 looked at redesigning the parking lot a couple of blocks from Gould Hall into a new quad for the residences located around the site. This design extends the Burke- Gilman Trail along the road in a fun and evocative way while also providing covered bike parking along the route. Working with the slope of the site, this project creates seating built into the slope while maintaining ADA accessible pathways. The Diag will also feature a coffee shop, a rain garden to capture stormwater from the site, and additional seating along the bike path.
